The association community initiatives to promote peace has organised two days training on program overview EWER/ election violence, socio economic,ethno religious ,socio/action step Advising political parties on early warning and early response to the members of conflict management mitigation regional council(CMMRC) and members of community peace observer’s(CPO’s through community peace action network (CPAN) to reduce the mainance of violence during 2023 genaral election.
Mr John CIPP who present the paper on early warning Early response (EWAR) called on participants to know how to used reporting template by location, community ,state, time, Narration and action taken, further more to be using the independent electoral commission guidelines to enlighten members of the community followed b details of 2019 election for peace Accord presidential candidate singned on December 11- 2018 held at the international conference center,Abuja.
The event organised by the national peace committee which includes Agreement of parties committed themselves to run Issue basad compaigns at national, state and local government levels pledge to refrain from campaigns that will involve religious incetement ,ethinic or tribal profiling.
He also said the INEC guidelines for camping 26- September 2022 issued the guidelines on the commencement of campings for the 2023 general election by the political parties on September 28 -2022 and on section,92 0f the electoral act 2022 the commission expect the political camping to be civil devoid of abusive language with out any rancour, and many act on INEC guidelines members of CMMRC and cpo,s to be enlighten members of the community to monitor the camping process and alerts the security personnel on violence.
