The Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) Kano state chapter has called for improved welfare for the wives of officers of the Nigeria Police force.
The association secretary Kano state chapter Hajiya Jamila Garba made the call during a three-day Empowerment program by El’s Empowerment foundation at the police barrack Bompai
Jamila also appealed for provision of more facilities in police schools and construction of skill acquisition centres for the wives and children of police officers in the state.
She said such provisions would help to boost the morale of officers and their wives, as well as enable them to continually contribute significantly to the overall development of kano State and the entire country.
