Nigeria’s Dangote Fertiliser Plant, located in Lagos, is Africa’s largest granular fertiliser plant and one of the world’s largest urea production facilities.
The plant occupies about 500 hectares and has the capacity to produce approximately 3 million metric tonnes of fertiliser annually, supporting agricultural production in Nigeria and across Africa.
Built at an estimated cost of $2.5 billion, the facility has also created about 5,500 jobs, contributing significantly to employment and industrial development in the country.
The plant represents a major investment in Nigeria’s fertiliser industry, with the potential to reduce dependence on imported fertiliser while strengthening the country’s position as a major fertiliser producer and exporter.
