Former vice president Atiku Abubakar, River State Governor Nyesom Wike and his counterpart Sokoto satate Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and former Senate President Bukola Saraki are among frontline presidential aspirants who will contest the primary of the main opposition people Democratic Party.
Others are Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State his Bauchi State governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose former Senate President Pius Anyim, Diana Terila the only woman in the race former FBS managing director, Muhammad Hayatuddeen, media mogul Dele Momodu, a pharmacist Sam Ohuabunwa, Charles Ugwu and Chikwendu Kalu.
