KANO GOVERNMENT DONATES BUS TO SCHOOL OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY, BEBEJI

The Kano State Government has donated a Toyota Coaster bus to the School of Health Technology, Bebeji, as part of efforts to improve transportation and strengthen academic activities within the institution.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Transport Officer of the Kano State Ministry of Health, Malam Usman Isha Ibrahim, who represented the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, said the vehicle was provided to address transportation challenges affecting staff and students, especially during practical sessions and other academic engagements.

He emphasized that the bus should be used strictly for official and educational purposes, while also stressing the importance of proper maintenance and regular servicing to ensure durability and effective use.

“The government provided this vehicle to support teaching and learning activities as well as facilitate the movement of lecturers and students. We therefore urge the institution to make good use of it and ensure proper maintenance,” he stated.

Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the institution, the Provost of Kano State College of Science and Technology, Kano, Malam Balarabe Ismail, expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for what he described as a timely intervention. He also commended the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, for facilitating the donation.

According to him, the location of the school outside Kano metropolis has long created transportation difficulties for lecturers and staff, noting that the new bus would greatly improve mobility and enhance service delivery within the institution.

Malam Balarabe assured the state government that the vehicle would be used responsibly and in line with the purpose for which it was donated. He further praised Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his continued investment in the health sector and other key areas of development across the state.
