The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kano State Government to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
The Garkuwan Matasan Arewa, Alhaji Rabiu Abubakar Tumfafi, stated this during an interview with journalists at his office in Kano, where he expressed confidence in the party’s strength and political prospects ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Tumfafi described the APC as one of the largest political parties in Africa, noting that its position as the ruling party at the federal level and in Kano State reflects the confidence Nigerians have in its leadership and policies.
He attributed the party’s growing political strength to its achievements in governance, adding that the opposition parties had yet to match its level of political influence and support.
According to him, the Federal Government has made efforts to ease the economic difficulties facing Nigerians, particularly through measures aimed at reducing food prices and making essential commodities more affordable for low-income earners.
He said such interventions were important in helping ordinary citizens provide food for their families amid prevailing economic challenges.
The APC chieftain also commended the Kano State Government for its support programmes targeting women and youths, particularly through the provision of financial assistance and vocational training designed to promote self-reliance and economic empowerment.
Tumfafi further praised the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, for his empowerment initiatives, which he said had provided thousands of women and young people with vocational skills and opportunities to establish sustainable sources of livelihood.
He added that the Kano State Government had executed development projects across the state’s 44 local government areas, expressing confidence that residents had witnessed and benefited from the administration’s activities.
The APC leader maintained that the party’s record in governance and its various empowerment initiatives would strengthen its chances of securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
He also assured party members that the APC leadership in Dawakin Tofa was committed to fairness, justice and transparency in its dealings with members.
Tumfafi pledged that the party leadership would ensure equal treatment for all members, stressing that there would be no deception, betrayal or denial of anyone’s legitimate rights.
He urged party members to remain united, loyal and committed to the party’s objectives as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
