Iran’s Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, has departed for Pakistan on an official visit at the invitation of Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Syed Mohsin Naqvi. The visit, which began on July 20, is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding ties between the two neighboring countries on key regional issues.
The Iranian minister is leading a high-level delegation made up of senior representatives from several government institutions. The delegation includes officials from the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Roads and Urban Development, and Agriculture, reflecting the broad scope of discussions expected during the visit.
Also accompanying the delegation are senior officials from Iran’s Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA) and the Customs Administration. Their participation highlights the importance of enhancing cooperation in border security, customs coordination, law enforcement, and efforts to facilitate legal trade and cross-border movement.
The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for both Iran and Pakistan to review existing agreements, strengthen security and economic cooperation, and discuss regional developments of mutual interest. The meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to maintaining close diplomatic relations and promoting stability and development in the region.
