Iran Highlights Self-Reliance in Science, Technology and National Defense

Iran has reiterated that its achievements in science, technology, economic development, and national security are the result of indigenous innovation and self-reliance. According to the statement, the country’s scientific progress has been built largely on domestic expertise rather than dependence on foreign technology.

The statement describes Iran’s economy as knowledge-based, emphasizing investment in research, innovation, and locally developed technologies. It also points to advances in sectors such as medicine and nanotechnology as examples of the country’s efforts to strengthen its scientific and industrial capabilities through homegrown solutions.

On national defense, the statement says Iran’s security is based on its own capabilities, adding that its missile systems are designed and manufactured domestically. It presents self-sufficiency in defense production as a central element of the country’s long-term security strategy.

The statement further credits the late Ayatollah Khamenei, described as a martyr, with promoting the principle of self-reliance among Iranian officials and young people. It says this approach has shaped Iran’s development strategy by encouraging domestic innovation, independence, and national resilience.
