TRUMP SAYS HE WOULD BE “HONORED” TO MEET KHAMENEI

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he would not necessarily be seeking a meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but added that if such a meeting were to take place, he would consider it an honor.

Trump made the remarks while discussing U.S.–Iran relations, emphasizing that direct engagement is not currently his priority, though he did not completely rule out the possibility of high-level contact.
The statement comes after a prolonged period of heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, marked by threats, sanctions, and strong political rhetoric on both sides.

Observers note a possible shift in tone, with recent signals suggesting that U.S. policy discussions are moving away from open confrontation and more toward the idea of direct diplomatic dialogue.
