Conflicting reports have emerged over the political future of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian after Iran International claimed he submitted an official resignation letter to the office of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
According to the report, Pezeshkian allegedly cited growing control by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the sidelining of his government from major decision-making processes.
However, Iranian officials and state-linked media quickly rejected the claims, calling them “rumours” and “false media games,” while insisting the president remains fully engaged in his duties.
