Hisbah Corps in Kano state have again been enjoined to desist from partisan and politics while in uniform, particularly on elections days.
This was contained in a statement issued by the command public relations officer Malam Lawan Ibrahim Fagge made available to Aksammedia corresponder Jamila Aliyu Sulaiman
The Commander General of the Board, Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibin Sina made this warnings in his addressed at this month ending briefing, held today at the board’s headquarters in sharada quarters.
Dr. Harun Ibin Sina further clarifies that, the board has only allowed it’s corps members to go out in a normal plainclothes and exercise voting cast of the candidate of their choice, as in lined with the constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
He added that, Hisbah corp members are working for the entire communities in the state.
The Commander general also challenged Hisbah corp members in the state to always be punctual to duties, and maintained the attitudes of truthfulness, polities, confidentilities as well as proper wearing uniforms while on duties.
He then commended the support and efforts of the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s led administration for the procurement of additional 2000 uniforms set to the newly recruited Hisbah corp members and Hisbah Marshall and selection of Hisbah Board members to be among those received (JP) positions in the state.
Also speaking, at the occasion the Hisbah board Chairman, Sheikh Ibrahim Shehu Maihula reemphasized the board’s redness to review the formulas for the promotion of Hisbah corp members with a view to achieving excellent results in the discharge of their duties.
Sheikh Ibrahim Shehu Maihula then cited an example of the dangers and other related consequence for a Hisbah corp members to be engaged into partisan and politics, urging all Hisbah corp members to always be abide by the board’s rules and regulations, so as to continue a tracking and enjoys the general public confidence, and unflinching support.
