President of Senegal, Macky Sall has declared today Monday as workers day to continue celebrating for the country’s succees winnig African Cup of Nations Afcon 2021 held by the national team on Sunday night in Cameroon.
The president, who is currently out of the country, has canceled a tour of his star-studded tour.
President Sall will present a special gift to the team on Tuesday at his palace, according to RTS media.
Senegal have won the Afcon for the first time in their history after reaching the final twice before – in 2019 and 2022.
Senegal beat Egypt 4-2 in a penalty shootout after completing 90 minutes with extra time 0-0 draw.
