The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has placed 11 domestic airlines, including Air Peace, Ibom Air, and Arik Air, on a “no-pay-no-service” sanction list due to unpaid financial obligations owed to the regulatory agency.
The decision was communicated through an internal memorandum dated May 22 and signed by Olufemi Odukoya, the NCAA’s Director of Finance and Accounts. The directive was issued following approval from the authority’s Director-General.
Under the order, all NCAA departments and directorates have been instructed to suspend the provision of regulatory and administrative services to the affected airlines until their outstanding debts are settled.
The move underscores the NCAA’s determination to enforce financial compliance within Nigeria’s aviation sector. The affected airlines are expected to clear their obligations before normal services from the regulatory authority can resume.
