China Achieves Major Breakthrough in Cloning High-Milk Goats

Chinese scientists have successfully cloned six high-producing dairy goats in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, marking the country’s first successful batch cloning of high-yield milk goats. The achievement is being described as a major breakthrough in China’s dairy goat breeding technology and agricultural science sector.

The cloned goats consist of four males and two females, all produced from carefully selected donor goats known for exceptional milk productivity. Researchers said the donor animals each produced more than 2,800 kilograms of milk annually, making them among the highest-yielding dairy goats in the country.
