The Chief of Staff to the Kano State Government, Dr. Sulaiman Sani Wali mni, has officially declared closed the three-day induction workshop for newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, organised by the Office of the Head of Service.
The workshop, themed “Accountable Leadership, Policy Execution and Institutional Transformation,” was successfully concluded after intensive sessions covering leadership, ethical values, public financial management, good governance and other critical areas aimed at strengthening the capacity of Permanent Secretaries for effective and efficient service delivery.
In her closing remarks, the Kano State Head of Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, urged the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries to remain committed to their responsibilities and uphold the principles of integrity, honesty and transparency in the discharge of their duties.
She also emphasized the importance of punctuality, urging them to avoid lateness to work and serve as role models within the State Civil Service.
Also delivering closing remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Cabinet Office, Malam Addu’a Lawan, commended the participants and encouraged them to translate the knowledge acquired into improved service delivery and effective policy implementation.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Hajiya Umma Dallatu expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for investing in the continuous training and development of senior public servants. She also thanked the Head of Service, the Secretary to the State Government and the entire organising team for their unwavering support and commitment to the success of the workshop.
In his vote of thanks, the Permanent Secretary, Establishment Office, Office of the Head of Service, Alhaji Salisu Mustapha, appreciated all resource persons, dignitaries and participants for their contributions, describing the workshop as another milestone in the ongoing civil service reform and capacity-building efforts of the Kano State Government.
Salisu Mustapha reaffirmed the Kano State Government’s commitment to building a professional, accountable and result-oriented public service capable of delivering quality services to the people of the state.
