The Kano State Government has carried out assessment and measurement works at Dala and Dandishe Hospitals with the aim of constructing new buildings to upgrade the facilities, following a request made earlier this year by the Association of kakakin Dala
The Kano State Ministry of Health, under the leadership of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, conducted the inspection and technical assessment at Dala and Dandishe Hospitals as part of plans to improve the status and infrastructure of the two healthcare facilities.
This development follows an advocacy visit made last month by the kakakin Dala Association to the office of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, during which they appealed to the Kano State Government to upgrade the Dala and Dandishe Hospitals.
During the visit, the Ministry of Health delegation was received by the kakakin Dala Association led by its Chairman, Professor Aliyu Sulaiman Kantudu, who represented by the Association’s Secretary, Dr. Yahya Yusuf, alongside Alhaji Muhammad Adakawa and Alhaji Sadiq Sani Sufi, the Ward Head of Kofar Mazugal.
They also met with the Head of Dala Hospital, Ali Musa Yusuf, and the Head of Dandishe Hospital, Dr. Abdul Jalal.
In his remarks, the Officer-in-Charge of Dala Hospital commended the efforts of the kakakin Dala Association for facilitating the intervention from the Kano State Government. He further advised the association to maintain regular visits to Dala Hospital to better understand the challenges faced by the facility.
Similarly, his counterpart at Dandishe Hospital, Dr. Abdul Jalal, praised the association for attracting this development to the two hospitals, expressing hope that the projects would be completed within two years.
