The Dangote Oil Refinery, originally built to produce 650,000 barrels per day, will soon expand its capacity to a record-breaking 1.4 million barrels per day, surpassing the world’s biggest refinery in Jamnagar, India.
By the end of 2025, the refinery will first increase production to 700,000 barrels per day, with current output already at 610,000 barrels daily.
This bold move cements Nigeria’s position as a global refining hub, cutting reliance on imports and powering Africa’s path to energy independence.
